I lost both of my parents to disease when I was just 2 years old and I was sent to live with my grandparents. They were old and sadly died shortly after. I was left homeless for several years until my community found a distant aunt of mine willing to take me in with her other 9 children. Money was tight and the family did not have money for my school fees so I was sent to work raising goats. One day, I followed some children on their way to school. The principal saw me and allowed me to stay. Now I am always among the top ranked in my class. I work hard so I can become a doctor to save lives of people like my parents and advocate for health in my community.
