THANKSGIVING IN UGANDA
Thanksgiving in Uganda provides rabbits to vulnerable, single-parent households with children at risk of malnutrition. The rabbits provide a source of protein and a secondary source of income that empowers the mother to provide for herself and her family. With the extra protein, the children have the nutrients necessary to grow and be healthy. With the extra income, the family can afford to send their children to school.
HEATHER BROOKE PETERSEN SCHOLARSHIP
In many developing countries, the cost of education can easily overwhelm a family unit. Each year, thousands of students are forced to drop out of school to help provide for their families once tuition gets too high. The cost to these students can be crippling, but the USD equivalent totals only a fraction of the price of an American degree. By funding students in these impoverished regions, the HBP International Scholarship will empower some of the world's brightest minds from the world's most vulnerable populations to create a future of empowerment.
2018 ANGEL TREE
We are excited to announce the first annual Thanksgiving in Uganda angel tree. This sponsorship is designed to cover the costs of a rabbit family and hutch for the selected beneficiaries. This year, we are sponsoring the delightful Tukamushaba Sharon family. Get to know the family and learn how the money is used to empower
